Vote for Saltcoats to win Civic Pride

Have you heard? Saltcoats Philosophy Group has been shortlisted for the North Ayrshire Arts & Culture Award.

The winner will now be decided by a public vote.

Saltcoats Philosophy Group meets every month to discuss all aspects of philosophy and how it relates to the modern world. The group produces a range of monthly booklets in a bid to support and stimulating debate, and encourage cultural development within the community.

Provost Pat McPhee said: "My fellow judges and I were overwhelmed by the high standard of nominations."

This year is the first ever North Ayrshire Provost's Civic Pride Awards and it would be great if our town won.

We have another prospect from saltcoats Jim Montgomerie, who i believe should have a great chance of winning the competition and deserves so for what he has done for the area and local community.
