Saltcoats groups encouraged to apply for Community Benefit Fund

Community groups in Saltcoats are being encouraged to apply to their local Community Benefit Fund.

The Fund is run through a voluntary annual contribution made by Infinis – the operators of Ardrossan Wind Farm – and is given out by the council.

Grants are made to local groups through the Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Stevenston and Arran Area Committee and to be eligible, organisations and projects must come from one of these communities.

Applications for environmental projects will receive priority, but other applications will be considered.

While there is no maximum limit for grants, the majority do not exceed £4,000.

These awards will be treated as a one-off contribution.
