Major Traffic Disruption

North Ayrshire Council advises

(Vernon Street, Saltcoats)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2010

On the 23rd July 2010 North Ayrshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Scottish Water supply works) on Vernon Street (between Countess Street and Nineyard Street/Kyleshill junction), Saltcoats by reason of works proposed to be executed on or near that road.

The Order will come into operation at 0800 hours on Sunday, 8th August 2010 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on Thursday, 12th August 2010 or until such date as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anrticipated that the works will only take 3 days to complete.

Temporary Bus Stops will be located on Braes Road during the closure period.

Alternative Route:-

Diverted traffic should follow the signed diversion route via Nineyard Street, Hill Street, Harbour Street, Braes Road, Winton Circus, Montgomerie Crescent, Winton Street and War Memorial Roundabout and vice versa.
