Historic Saltcoats penny up for sale in internet auction

  • This rare penny from the St John's Lodge is up for sale on Ebay
A rare token - a masonic penny issued by a lodge in Saltcoats has been put up for sale on an internet website this week.

The token, issued by Lodge St John's RA No 320 Saltcoats and Ardrossan is on sale on Ebay with an opening bid price of £3.99, with the sale due to end on Thursday 18th February at 6.09pm. You can view the auction on Ebay here.

The coin is in good condition, with on on side "Saltcoats and Ardrossan St John's RA Lodge No 320", and the words "They received every man a penny" on the reverse.
