  • A Saltcoats store has installed a fingerprint scanner to beat under-age drinkers

A store in Saltcoats is taking the high-tech road to beating under-age drinkers and smokers - by installing a new fingerprint age verification system.

Key Stores in Hamilton Street, run by Jagtar Singh has had the OK ID biometric age verification system fitted in his store after falling victim earlier this year to an under-ager who presented staff with fake identification.
