Saltcoats Sea Queens - 1928 to date...

  • 1957 Saltcoats Sea Queen Ruby Soden
  • A Sea Queen parade through the town in the 1960s
  • 2009 Saltcoats Sea Queen - Antonia Henderson

Saltcoats crowned its first Sea Queen back in 1928, when Netta Duff became the first to wear the crown.

And with a few breaks, the town has crowned its Sea Queen since that date. But where are the previous Sea Queens today - and what have they been doing since their crowning day?

If you know, or maybe you ARE one of the former gala queens, then share your memories of the big day here, and help us put together a piece of Saltcoats history. Can you help..? Share your comments, photos and memories here on s1saltcoats

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
