SALTCOATS SEA QUEEN HISTORY

by JAMES BURNS

Why hasn't anyone detailed the history about the Sea Queen event.?

Can anyone help with this please, as it is an important part of Saltcoats history which brings the whole community together. Names of previous Queens, photos etc would be helpful too.

My own mum was the queen back in 1957, ( RUBY IVY SODEN ). She has kept all the photos, invitations and press cuttings taken of her day on the throne. I shall download them as soon as possible.

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
