Burns Country Holiday Properties is a family business offering three and four star self catering holiday accommodation for your stay in Ayrshire in the South West of Scotland. Each property is furnished in its own unique style and maintained to a high standard.

Situated on the beautiful Clyde Coast, Ayrshire has it all and more. Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, outdoor activities, gourmet dining and some of the finest golf courses in the world. Ancient castles, stunning country parks and botanic gardens, bustling market towns and captivating visitor attractions are all on offer. You can even enjoy a cruise on the waters of the Clyde on the paddle steamer Waverley. Whether youre looking to get away from it all or visiting the area on business there is something here for everyone.
All our properties are ideally located for a short golfing break with several championship and links courses nearby that provide a challenge for any golfer. The courses range from the Open Championship Links of Royal Troon, Turnberry and Prestwick to the many excellent and affordable links courses stringing along the Ayrshire coast from Ayr to Irvine.

Things to See and Do
Ayrshire is well placed to offer the visitor plenty of things to do. It has a wide range of visitor attractions across the county and Castles and historic trails abound with many famous sites of interest and ruins to be explored and an abundance of family attractions and outdoor sports facilities.
There are over 40 golf courses in Ayrshire, including Championship Courses at Turnberry, Old Prestwick and Royal Troon. There are many excellent municipal links and parkland courses to suit all golfers.
History and heritage loom large with a list including the very splendid Culzean Castle, Dundonald Castle and other country parks and castles at Kelburn and Dean.
Robert Burns was born in nearby Alloway and there are attractions showcasing his life and works and in May every year a festival of the arts, Burns ana'That, celebrates his influence.
For the Burns enthusiast or even just the casual visitor a trip to the Burns National Heritage Park is a must. You can enjoy the audio-visual interpretation of Tam OShanter Experience before strolling along the road to visit Burns Cottage. Continue the experience with a visit to Souter Johnnies Cottage or the Bachelors Club.
For the family how about the Heads of Ayr Farm Park, Vikingar, Loudoun Castle Theme Park or experience a bit of industrial heritage at the Scottish Maritime Museum.
Family leisure centres include The Magnum, Galleon Leisure Centre and The Citadel in Ayr. Other outdoor and sporting facilities include the Newmilns Snow Centre which is about fifteen minutes from Kilmarnock and offers dry slope skiing and snowboarding facilities.
